Spain at last!

That's it, we are in Spain. We crossed the border on monday, through beautiful mountain passes and a terrible storm. We visited an ancient monastery, with a very old crypt and Roman church arches. Then we hiked in a canyon to observe vultures. Vultures are scavengers, which mean they only eat dead animals. They are like the sharks in the ocean, and they have a very important role in the ecosystem. Vultures are the largest birds after the condors and the albatrosses; their wingspan is about two meters and they can weigh 10 kilos ! They are very impressive, and their flight is absolutely majestic.
Then we drove south to the Bardenas Reales, a very special geological area, where the erosion of ancient swamps has led to a very weird desert-like area. The erosion of the softer ground has created building and pyramid-shaped stones with stripes of colours, in a very arid plain.
Now, we are on the north-western coast, by the ocean.
More news soon, take care until then and work hard, school is almost over!!!
